Blackheads
Small dark dots in open pores, usually across the nose, chin and forehead.
A blackhead is a follicle filled with oil and skin cells that has oxidised at the surface. The dark colour is oxidation, not dirt, which is why scrubbing harder does not help.
We clear what can safely be cleared and then work on the conditions that let them form, so the clearing lasts longer than a week.

Questions
Frequently asked
- Can I squeeze them at home?
- We would rather you did not. Home extraction tends to trade a blackhead for inflammation or a mark.
- Does extraction hurt?
- It is briefly uncomfortable around the nose. We stop when the skin has had enough.
- How often would I need this?
- Most people settle into every four to six weeks, then less often once skincare is working.
