Botox (Botulinum Toxin) Treatment – Information & Consultations in Tunbridge Wells, Kent
Welcome to The Face Workshop — I’m Georgina, and I provide safe, subtle, and personalised anti-wrinkle treatments in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, to help you achieve a youthful appearance . My clinic offers a calm, discreet setting for patients to explore their options for aiming to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles while maintaining their natural beauty.
Some anti-wrinkle injections may involve the use of prescription-only medicines, such as botulinum toxin (commonly referred to by the brand name Botox). These can only be provided following a pre-treatment consultation and if they are deemed clinically appropriate for you.
Whether it’s your first treatment or you have had regular treatments before, your journey begins with an initial consultation. This is where we will discuss your aesthetic goals, review your medical conditions, and decide together on a treatment plan that is tailored to your unique facial features and desired outcome, aiming for natural looking results .
What Are Anti-Wrinkle Treatments and How Does Botox Work?
Anti-wrinkle treatments are used to address the visible signs of ageing, particularly fine lines and wrinkles caused by repetitive muscle movements and changes in skin over time.
When appropriate, botulinum toxin may be used in very small amounts to temporarily reduce activity in specific muscles. This can help soften the appearance of facial wrinkles such as fine lines, frown lines, crow’s feet, mouth lines, and smoker’s lines.
Because botulinum toxin is a prescription-only medicine, it can only be prescribed after an in-person consultation with a qualified prescriber.
Areas That May be Treated with Botox and Anti-Wrinkle Injections
During your consultation at our clinic in Tunbridge Wells, we can discuss whether anti- winkle treatment (such as Botox) are safe and suitable. Cosmetic and therapeutic areas that may be treated include:
Frown lines (between the eyebrows)
Crow’s feet (around the eyes)
Forehead lines
Bunny lines (on the nose)
Lip lines and gummy smile
Mouth lines and marionette lines
Smoker’s lines
Chin dimpling
Neck lift and neck bands
Jawline slimming
Dermal filler injections can also be used alongside Botox for restoring volume and further enhancing facial contours, making it a versatile treatment .
A note on medical uses of botulinum toxin:
Some clinics also provide botulinum toxin for certain medical purposes — for example, to help reduce excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis), treat chronic migraines, or manage bruxism (teeth grinding). In the UK, these medical uses require the provider to be registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC). At The Face Workshop, we focus solely on cosmetic uses of anti-wrinkle treatments and do not currently offer these CQC-regulated medical procedures.
Your Consultation and Treatment Process
Your journey begins with a pre-treatment one-to-one consultation, where I’ll assess your medical history, discuss your aesthetic goals, and review your skin type and concerns. Based on this consultation, I’ll create a personalised treatment plan tailored to your needs. If botulinum toxin (Botox) is considered appropriate, I’ll explain how it works, outline potential benefits and risks, and answer any questions you may have.
If we proceed with treatment, the entire process usually takes around 30 minutes. To help ensure minimal discomfort we use ultra fine needles (called "The Invisible Needle"). The Treatment, when carried out, involves a series of small injections at precise injection sites using a very fine needle. Most patients describe the sensation as mild, and many are able to return to daily activities soon afterwards.
Some people experience slight bruising or redness at the injection sites, but recovery time is generally minimal. Following the provided aftercare advice will help support the best possible outcome.
How Long Do Botox Results Last?
Some people notice changes from their anti-wrinkle treatment within 3 to 5 days, with the full effect visible around two weeks. For many patients, the effects of botulinum toxin (Botox) last for a period of months before wearing off, although this can vary from person to person.
If you choose to have regular treatments, we will review your results at each appointment and adjust your treatment plan as needed to support your desired outcome.
Is Botox Treatment Right for You?
Botulinum toxin (Botox) may be an option for some healthy adults aged 18 and over who wish to address the appearance of dynamic wrinkles. Suitability depends on your individual circumstances and will be determined during a pre-treatment consultation with a qualified prescriber.
It is not suitable for anyone who is pregnant, breastfeeding, or has certain neurological conditions.
During your consultation, I will review your medical conditions and aesthetic goals to decide whether anti-wrinkle injections are an appropriate option for you. If not, I’ll always be honest and may recommend a different approach. Other treatments may be recommended if Botox is not suitable.

Botox is a type of anti-wrinkle treatment that uses botulinum toxin to reduce the appearance of lines. While all Botox treatments are anti-wrinkle treatments, the reverse isn’t always true — other options include dermal fillers or skin boosters.

Botox and dermal fillers are both popular cosmetic treatments, but they work in different ways. Botox is a neurotoxin that temporarily reduces muscle activity to smooth out dynamic wrinkles caused by facial expressions, such as frown lines and crow’s feet. Dermal fillers, on the other hand, are gel-like substances—often made from hyaluronic acid—that add volume beneath the skin to fill in static wrinkles, can be used to help restore facial contours, and enhance areas like the lips and cheeks.
While Botox relaxes muscles to prevent wrinkles, dermal fillers add volume to plump and lift the skin. Both treatments can be used individually or together for a more youthful and rejuvenated appearance.
-
In addition to botulinum toxin (Botox) treatments, The Face Workshop in Tunbridge Wells offers other aesthetic treatments that are minimally invasive, can be tailored to your needs, and discussed during your initial consultation.
Hyaluronic acid-based dermal filler injections can be used for restoring volume, supporting facial contours, and enhancing overall appearance. Dermal fillers may also help improve skin texture and hydration, as hyaluronic acid is a substance naturally found in the body.
Skin boosters such as Profhilo and SuneKos use hyaluronic acid to hydrate and refresh the skin without surgery. These versatile treatments can be incorporated into a comprehensive facial rejuvenation plan alongside anti-wrinkle injections to support natural beauty and balance your facial features.
All treatment options — including combinations — will be reviewed during your pre-treatment consultation to ensure they are appropriate for your skin type, medical history, and aesthetic goals.
